Fifty Plus welcomes comment on any of its articles and feedback about the
publication and website in general. Please include your full name and
address. Comments selected for publication may be edited for clarity and
brevity. Email or mail to the address above.
Calendar Events
To submit an event for the calendar:

Items must include a contact phone number and must be received by the 5th of
the month prior to the event. Calendar items received after this date will
be entered on the online calendar.
Distribution
Fifty Plus is a free magazine published 12 times a year. It is distributed
to over 400 locations throughout the Central Virginia area including greater Richmond
Charlottesville and Fredericksburg at Ukrop’s, CVS and McDonald’s, as well as many libraries, museums, malls and
more.

Article Submissions
Fifty Plus considers article queries and submissions from local writers.
Publication is not guaranteed. Reply to non-simultaneous submissions will be
made within three weeks. Queries must be accompanied by three to five clips.
Resumes are welcome but not required.
Articles run 400 to 2200 words, with payment appropriate to length. Writers
new to the magazine are more likely to be accepted at the shorter end of the
range.
Submissions of personal essays should be 400 to 900 words and can be
researched opinions or humorous or reflective thoughts on any aspect of life
