Thousands to lose MedicareAdvantage

Medicare Advantage companies make business decisions about offerings they make available to people on Medicare every year.
It is highly recommended that Medicare beneficiaries review their plans for changes every year.
This year is more important than ever because some insurance carriers have indicated they will not renew their Private-Fee-For-Service (PFFS) contracts for 2010. As a result, several thousand Medicare beneficiaries must make a change.
This should be a major concern for you. However, 50 Plus is taking some positive steps to assist with this transition. 50 Plus will be hosting educational forums throughout the area to explain your options for 2010.
Medicare is allowing a special enrollment period beginning Oct. 1.
Forums will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The next forum is 9am at Chick-fil-A ►Oct. 27 Chesterfield Towne Center ► Oct. 29 Regency Square Mall
