Seniors in High School

-SATs and ACTs are here. Review Geometry, Algebra I & II books and notes 15 minutes each night after finishing your homework. Take free practice tests offered at collegeboard.com and act.org.
-The deadline for the November 3 SAT is October 2. Register at
collegeboard.com.
-Finish college campus visits. Narrow down your list to include a reach school, one or two 50/50 schools and several sure-bet schools. The common denominator? You want to attend any of them if given the opportunity.
-If you decide to apply Early Decision/Action, the typical deadline is November 1. Communicate with your guidance counselor.
-Finalize essays, resumes and applications if you are applying early. Start on them if you are applying Regular Decision. Make copies!!
-Student athletes need to register with www.ncaaclearinghouse.org in order to play a sport in college.
-Complete the CSS Profile if your college requires it for financial aid. Register at collegeboard.com.
-For scholarship opportunities, register with www.fastweb.com

Juniors in High School

-Prepare for the PSAT offered October 17.
-Visit with college representatives to learn about their schools.
- Keep your studies at the top of your priority list. Colleges look closely at your junior year.
-Study hard and organize well.
